A yearlong interdisciplinary project examining Immanuel Kant’s 1795 essay by the same name through a 21st century lens, the project includes two events in New York City: a private forum of the International Peace Institute at the UN Headquarters and a video art exhibition at the New Museum. SU plays host to various panel discussions, academic courses and the premiere of a feature film for the Perpetual Peace Project Perpetual Peace Project

An exhibition by San Francisco artist known as Rigo 23; the subject of the show is Leonard Peltier (a.k.a. Tate Wikikuwa), a member of the American Indian Movement sentenced to prison for the murder of two FBI agents

“Look Now: Facing Breast Cancer”
A powerful new photographic project about breast cancer survivors, will be launched on Wednesday, October 27 at 5.30 pm in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3, Syracuse University.
The launch event will unveil a series of revealing photographic portraits by artist Angelika Rinnhofer of three local women who have faced breast cancer. A short documentary about the project will also be screened, followed by a panel discussion on living life after diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
